Piano Night w BC Coogan

Our resident pianist BC Coogan plays and sings a wide range of songs that never stray too far from the long piano tradition of New Orleans, with a particular reverence for the golden era of South Louisiana R&B. We even affectionately refer to Mondays as "Allen Toussaint Boulevard Appreciation Night" after the city's greatest songwriter. You're likely to hear an Irma Thomas or James Booker song, a jazz workout, or a re-imagined pop tune, all through the lens of a unique musician who has played piano/organ/keys with many of the leading lights of the local scene. Two hour-long sets beginning around 8:30. (Come early and enjoy free red beans and rice!)
