Summer Solstice Sunrise Hike

***Pre-registration is required: please click the "register → " button to sign up for this program.*** ***Meeting location: High Rocks Overlook Parking Area, 150 Tory Rd, Pipersville, PA 18947*** This summer solstice, join a state park naturalist to watch the sun rise over the Tohickon Creek Gorge. As the sun rises, we will hike about 3 miles in the morning hours while watching for birds and other wildlife. This hike will have uneven terrain with significant elevation changes. Please be sure to bring water along (and maybe your morning coffee) . A limited number of binoculars will be available to borrow (around 9) ; participants may also bring their own. Bathrooms: There is a port-o-john at this meeting location. What to Bring: Appropriate footwear for hiking is required. Participants should also bring water, snacks, and sun protection.
