The Wisconsin Master Naturalist Volunteer Training is an intensive, week-long program that covers core environmental subjects including Geology, Ecology & Plant Communities, Wildlife & Aquatic Life, Weather & Climate, Water Systems, and Natural & Human Connections.
The training includes limited classroom time at Retzer Nature Center and local field experiences throughout Waukesha County. UW-Madison Division of Extension facilitates the Master Naturalist Program.

DATES/TIME: Monday-Friday, July 20-24, 2026 • 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Volunteers also participate in Master Naturalist Showcase on July 25, from 10 a.m. - noon (events.waukeshacounty.gov/default/Detail/2026-07-25-1000-Master-Naturalist-Showcase)
