Details:
Join us for "Story by Story: Noa Baum," a monthly series designed for adults and teens, featuring storytellers from across the nation who share narratives reflecting diverse cultures and experiences. Each performance lasts 45-60 minutes, followed by a 30-minute discussion opportunity, with an American Sign Language interpreter present for all events.
In her presentation, "Stories that Guide Us Home," internationally acclaimed storyteller Noa Baum brings to life her family stories and rich Jewish heritage, emphasizing our shared humanity while celebrating our differences. The Washington Post commends Baum for "spreading cultural truths that eclipse geopolitical boundaries." With extensive international experience, including performances at prestigious venues such as The World Bank and the Kennedy Center, Noa combines performance art with practical storytelling workshops aimed at promoting compassion and healing.
Born in Jerusalem, Noa trained in theatre at Tel-Aviv University and holds an MA in Educational Theater from NYU. She is also the author of the award-winning memoir "A Land Twice Promised: An Israeli Woman’s Quest for Peace" and the picture book "How the Birds Became Friends," showcasing the power of kindness.
Based in the Washington, DC area, Noa's contributions to storytelling have earned her recognition by The Washington Jewish Week as one of the 10 most interesting local Jews.
