Details:
Join us for a fun, beginner-friendly coding workshop designed especially for elementary students in grades 4-6! A talented Parkland High School student will guide kids through the basics of coding using simple, hands-on activities.
Students will start with a silly “Code the Teacher” icebreaker to learn how computers follow step-by-step instructions. Then, they’ll explore what coding is, try out Python print statements and variables, experiment with interactive input and if/else logic, and create their own tiny programs. The workshop ends with a crowd-favorite mini-project: building a simple “Guess the Number” game using Python.
By the end, kids will understand how coding works, write beginner-level Python programs, and leave excited to keep learning. No experience needed, just curiosity and imagination!
