Join Ms. July on the first Thursday every month for a fun, gently educational storytime! We use picture book-style biographies and non-fiction books to explore the stories of real people & historical events, and follow up with a hands-on activity, game, or craft about the theme. You might learn about:
How moms and kids turned the city of Amsterdam into the most bike-friendly city in the world! Followed by a bike handle streamer craft
The life and work of artist Jackson Pollock - with a chance to create giant-sized splatter paintings!
The story of the only woman whose name appears on an official copy of the Declaration of Independence, with an Independence Day-themed craft after
The 1987 garbage barge that traveled half way around the world to find a place to dump its trash - then play an energetic recycling game!
Louis Braille and his invention of a system to allow blind people to read with their fingers - and then make your own name in Braille
AND MORE! An interesting new theme and fun activity every month!
