Independence Celebration: America 250 in the Village

Join your neighbors, friends, and family in the heart of downtown Oxford as we make history together! We are bringing our community together to celebrate a massive double milestone: the United States' Semiquincentennial (America 250) and the 150th Anniversary of the Village of Oxford’s founding.
This very special edition of "Music in the Park" bridges national history with our own unique heritage through an evening packed with live music, immersive historical experiences, and fun activities for all generations.

5:30 PM | Gates Open & Interactive Fun Begins

6:00 PM | Main Stage Historical Ceremony
Colonial Color Guard: A striking, classic presentation of colors by the Sons of the American Revolution Honor Guard
Civic Pride: Opening remarks, the Pledge of Allegiance, National Anthem, and a reading of the Preamble.
The Unveiling: The grand opening of Oxford's historic 1976 Time Capsule!
6:30 PM – Dusk | Live Concert & Celebrations Dance the night away to an incredible live performance by the Uptown Allstars!
