Dessert & Book Tasting: Flavors & Stories from Around the World

Join us for the Dessert & Book Tasting: Flavors & Stories from Around the World, an exciting event described as "literary speed dating" hosted by NMPL. This unique gathering invites adult readers aged 16 and above to broaden their reading horizons by sampling a variety of fiction and non-fiction books from international authors in 5-minute increments. When the bell sounds, participants can choose to take a book home, explore another title, or do both, eliminating any "I don't have anything to read!" complaints. While discovering new authors and genres, enjoy hot tea and delectable homemade desserts, including the decadent Mozambican Bolo Polana cake, rustic Irish Soda Bread, and irresistible Banoffee Pie. The event is free to attend, with no registration required, and will take place in the Blocher Community Room, sponsored by the Friends of the Library.
