Details:
Join us for "Tangible Histories of Strawbery Banke," an enlightening event presented by Dr. Alexandra Martin, Archaeologist at Strawbery Banke Museum. Explore what archaeology reveals about the lives of those who inhabited Seacoast New Hampshire, from Abenaki fishers and colonial merchants to families who worked at the Naval Shipyard. Discover the stories behind the historic objects that connect us to Indigenous peoples, enslaved Africans, and 20th-century matriarchs who shaped the region. The event will take place on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, from 6:00 to 7:00 PM at the North Hampton Public Library, located at 239 Atlantic Avenue, North Hampton, NH 03862. Dr. Martin, who oversees a collection of over one million artifacts, is an adjunct faculty member at the University of New Hampshire and a published researcher. If you have questions, please contact Emily at programming.nhpl@gmail.com or Dr. Martin at amartin@sbmuseum.org.
