Details:
On September 15th, 1944, thousands of Marines poured onto the beaches of Peleliu under horrific Japanese fire. Once off the beaches though, their fight had only just begun. For the next two months, American troops would be up against the first Japanese defenses in depth, to deadly effect. Come see our battle reenactment of the Battle of Peleliu, featuring our Company K volunteers demonstrating WWII weapons and equipment, and even our M2 Flamethrower! Also, featured will be a guest lecture on the battle by a historian! This presentation is not recommended for small children, pets, or those with heart conditions due to loud noises and simulated combat effects. Programs are offered at 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. in the Pacific Combat Zone. Online ticket purchases are highly encouraged. Seating is first come, first served.
