Freighter Golf: Around the Great Lakes

Join us for an exciting June at the National Museum of the Great Lakes with two unique events!

**Freighter Golf: Around the Great Lakes** invites you to enjoy a month-long hole-in-one contest on the historic Col. James M. Schoonmaker Museum Ship. From June 1 to June 30, explore five custom-built putting greens, each representing one of the Great Lakes, while immersing yourself in the region’s history and landmarks. Participate in friendly competition for a chance to win tickets to the Greater Toledo Classic golf tournament and a free museum membership—all included with Museum Ship admission! Free parking is available, and no tee time is needed, making it perfect for families, friends, or solo adventurers.

On June 13, discover **Wellness by the Boat: Tai Chi** at 10 am, beside the Col. James M. Schoonmaker. Led by certified instructor Corey Anderson from UToledo Health, this free 45-minute Tai Chi class promotes strength, balance, and stress reduction, suitable for all fitness levels. Participants should wear comfortable clothing, bring a water bottle and a yoga mat, and arrive a few minutes early. In case of bad weather, the class may move indoors, and additional sessions are offered throughout the summer.
