Details:
Join us on July 9th for AMC 150: BioBlitz at the Montshire Museum of Science, where the Montshire partners with the Appalachian Mountain Club to celebrate AMC's 150th anniversary through community science. This day-long event invites participants to explore and document the diverse plants and animals on the museum grounds using the iNaturalist app, contributing valuable observations to biodiversity research. Kick off the day with an optional morning workshop to learn how to effectively use iNaturalist. Following that, join guided nature walks led by AMC and Montshire staff, who will assist in species identification and address any questions. Throughout the afternoon, visit the AMC table to connect with staff, enhance your iNaturalist skills, and delve deeper into community science. Whether you're new to iNaturalist or a seasoned user, this event offers a fantastic chance to explore nature and collaborate in scientific research. For the best experience, please download the iNaturalist app on your mobile device before attending, and we will be on hand to assist you if needed!
