Recycled Raingutter Regatta - Registration Required

Beat the summer heat by building your own sailboat using recycled materials! Racers will have one hour to build their boat before the races begin, then splish-splash, zoom! Who will win? Who's sailboat will be the most stylish? It could be yours!
A parent or guardian is required for building a sailboat.

RULES:
Racers will be split into separate groups based on grade going in to for 2026-2027 school year.
Grades K-2, 3-5, 6-8
Boats are required to be made on-site. No premade boats allowed.
Recycled materials will be provided by the Moline Public Library, however recycled materials can also be brought from home to build with.
For racers' safety, glass is not allowed.
While we will be outdoors and will be racing boats on water, please remember to wear clothes over swimsuits and shoes at the library.
