Details:
The Houston Shakespeare Festival (HSF) returns to Miller Outdoor Theatre with a vibrant production of Shakespeare's comedic classic, **The Comedy of Errors**, presented by the University of Houston. This uproarious farce unfolds in the bustling town of Ephesus, where two sets of long-lost twins, separated at birth, create a whirlwind of mistaken identities, leading to hilarious misunderstandings, slapstick chaos, and joyous reunions. Directed by HSF Artistic Director Jack Young, this fast-paced play is filled with physical humor and escalating absurdity, showcasing Shakespeare at his most playful.
Since its inception in 1975, HSF has provided high-quality, accessible performances to enrich the cultural landscape of the community, featuring a blend of UH students and seasoned professionals. The festival will offer open captioning on August 4 and audio description on August 6. Admission is free, with covered seating tickets available online starting at 10:00 AM the day before the show, while hill seating remains free without reservation. Join us for a night of laughter and entertainment that celebrates our shared humanity!
