Details:
Looking to start a garden, but need a space to do it? The Community Garden at Canoe Meadows in Pittsfield has been welcoming organic green thumbs to its 4.5-acre garden for more than 30 years. Several gardeners even describe it as "the most scenic location to plant a garden in Berkshire County". The base fee for a 15' x 20' site is $35. To better cover the escalating expenses of the garden we are encouraging an additional suggested $15 per plot, payable when you confirm your spaces by phone. This fee is optional but will help us to continue to provide staffing, water, restrooms, and garden orientation. Please pay the price that works for you. Canoe Meadows garden plots are a benefit of Mass Audubon membership. If you are not currently a member or need to renew you can do that at the time of registration. Gardens open from May to October. If financial barriers prevent you from participating, please contact us at berkshires@massaudubon.org or call us at 413-637-0320. Community Garden Information Check your email for opening day details. The garden plots measure 15 ft x 20 ft each. Each plot can be rented for $35 for members. Select # of plots by entering # of adults. Gardeners may rent multiple plots if they wish. We also have 4 accessible raised bed gardens-please email for more information: Berkshires@massaudubon.org. We are also offering financial assistance to new or previous gardeners who are eligible. If financial barriers prevent you from participating, contact us at 413-637-0320 or by emailing berkshires@massaudubon.org.
