Dinosaur Discovery by Lancaster County Parks

Come make a dinosaur discovery 🦕and create a story that fits its life. The Naturalist will tell the beginning of a dinosaur story. When the Naturalist stops in the middle of the story the participants will be asked to hunt for and find the parts of dinosaurs hidden in the area. As they find the parts, the group will be challenged to piece the dinosaur back together.🦖 Each group acts out an end to the story using the dinosaur they have found, making the story appropriate to the life of the dinosaur they have pieced together. Afterwards, we will use a silly facts activity to challenge everyone’s dinosaur expertise. Registration for Dinosaur Discovery by Lancaster County Park will open at 9:00AM on Wednesday, July 8th for Manheim Township and East Lampeter residents and on Wednesday, July 15th for residents of other municipalities. Registration Requirements – To help us manage our space, please register every person who will be attending, including adults or siblings. Cancellations- Please check your email prior to departing to verify that the program has not been cancelled. Library Program Policies No Show – Patrons failing to cancel their registration for more than 2 library programs in a month will be restricted from registering for future programs for a period of one month’s time. Please cancel your registrations at least 2 hours prior to the start of the program to allow those on the waiting list to be notified of their change in registration status. Late Arrivals – Please arrive 10 minutes prior to the start of the program to allow for parking and other circumstances. The program will begin promptly at the designated time. At this time, your spot will be forfeited to those on the wait list who will be granted entry. If spots remain, registrants may be allowed into the program. However, registrants will not be permitted to enter the program 5 minutes past the start time. Accompanying Adults – This program is for adults and children to enjoy together. Please plan to attend and be engaged with your child. Drop offs will not be permitted. Photography - The Manheim Township Public Library Code of Conduct Policy prohibits photographing or video recording individuals (including children) without their consent (or in the case of a child, the consent of a parent or guardian) .
