Details:
Join us for the Natural Communities Visit: Powerline Corridors & Early Successional Habitat in Northern Maine on June 18 from 2:30-3:30 pm at the Central Penjajawoc Preserve in Bangor. Following the June 16 Natural Communities webinar, this field experience offers a unique opportunity to observe managed powerline corridors and early successional shrublands. Participants will learn to identify key shrub species, recognize management and disturbance patterns, and understand how these habitats support wildlife during the breeding season. Emphasizing the reading of landscape history, this visit highlights the ecological value created by human infrastructure.
