Details:
Join us for an exciting outdoor learning experience with "Park Pals" and "June Storytime Gone Wild & Nature Walk." Designed for ages 2-6, these activities encourage young children and their adult companions to explore nature while engaging in hands-on learning.
"Park Pals" features themed classes every Saturday in June, covering topics such as Senses, Water Birds, Fishing, Plants and Mushrooms, and the Water Cycle, with a fun campfire celebration on June 30. Classes are primarily outdoors, so please dress for the weather. Registration is $5 per participant and must be done in person on the day of the event.
Additionally, the "June Storytime Gone Wild" offers a unique storytime experience led by a Virginia Master Naturalist every fourth Tuesday of the month. Participants will enjoy nature stories followed by an easy nature walk that relates to the season's themes, exploring topics like bird watching and leaf identification. This event is free, and registration is available online.
Please note that themes and locations may change based on weather conditions, so check for updates. Come discover the wonders of nature with your little ones!
