Call the Sheriff! The Alameda County Sheriff and Law Enforcement in the Livermore Valley

Outside the town boundaries, the Alameda County Sheriff’s Office provides law and order. Adults are invited to hear stories from Steve Minniear about desperados, cattle thieves, highway robberies, skullduggery, and kidnapping in the Amador and Livermore valleys from 1850 to the present.
Summer Learning is on through August 4, 2026. All ages will receive a free book just for signing up! Register at Livermore.beanstack.org/ or on the Beanstack app. Paper gameboards are also available at all Livermore Library locations. Participants who track their reading and activities will earn raffle tickets towards drawings for prizes.
