Details:
Join us for engaging literary events at the Livermore Library! On Thursday, July 16 at 2 p.m., the Thursday Classic Mystery Book Club will gather in the Board Room of the Civic Center Library to discuss "Death and the Dancing Footman" by Ngaio Marsh. This classic mystery revolves around a weekend party at Jonathan Royal's mansion, where tensions rise among guests who dislike each other, culminating in a murder during a blizzard. The club meets monthly to explore mystery novels published before 1960, featuring renowned authors like Agatha Christie and Dashiell Hammett.
Additionally, the Summer Reading Bridge program at Rincon Library runs from June 16 through July 30, every Tuesday and Thursday from 2–4 p.m. This initiative offers kids the opportunity to improve their reading skills with volunteer tutors during 30-minute sessions. Participation in this program, as well as the Summer Learning program ongoing until August 4, 2026, includes a free book upon registration. Sign up online at Livermore.beanstack.org/ or via the Beanstack app, and earn raffle tickets for prizes by tracking reading and activities. Thank you to the Friends of the Livermore Library and other partners for making these programs possible!
