Details:
Summer Reading is for everyone! This summer, we’re celebrating with an all-ages art contest at the library. We invite you to create a piece of art to go along with
our Summer Reading theme of Plant a Seed, Read. Limited supplies will be available for pick-up at the library starting June 15.
Contest rules:
Participants may use any supplies they wish to create a piece of art, but it must be on the provided 5”x7” canvas and must be contained to the canvas.
Entries must be appropriate for all audiences.
Participants are responsible for bringing their submissions back to the library during open hours by the submission deadline on July 17.
All participants will be offered an opportunity to claim their submission after the art contest concludes. Submissions that remain at the Library after
August 31 will be discarded.
All submissions will be displayed at the library for a public reception and vote on Monday, August 3. Voters will choose a winner for kids, teens, and adults, and winning works will be displayed in the library’s Community Meeting Room through the Friends of Lithgow Library Book Sale in August.
