Details:
Learn the basics of machine sewing and create a simple project. First, we will teach you how to wind a bobbin, thread the machine, and navigate the interface of a computerized sewing machine. Then, you will learn basic stitches. With these skills you can make any number of simple sewing projects at the makerspaces at East and Sand Creek libraries, as well as Library 21c. No previous experience required. All materials and equipment will be provided. Ages 9 and up. Makerspace classes can fill up quickly, so it is best to register close to when registration opens. If you are unable to register for this class, you can find other sewing classes at all three makerspaces. All participants must have their own library card. Please contact one of the makerspaces for more information. Creative space agreement: Patrons under 18 will need a signed Creative Space Use Agreement for Minors (en español) to use the makerspaces. You are encouraged to submit this at the class so that we have it on file.
