Details:
Join Ranger George in the Day Use Area to celebrate our nation's 250th Anniversary and learn about how we can see our past in tree rings! In this program, we will have tree cookies cut from trees that have died in the park, and Ranger George will show how to age a tree and point out years with major historic events in both our park's as well as our nation's history! He will also help you find years that may be important to you, such as your birthday or anniversary! All ages and experience levels are welcome!
What to Bring: Water, comfortable clothing, and a sense of curiosity
Where to meet: The Day Use Area, near our Swimming Area
This program is free with Park Entry.
