Comic Book Club

Join us for an engaging summer at the Library with two exciting programs! Kids ages 8-12 are invited to the Comic Book Club, led by Mr. John, where they'll learn about the history of comics, discuss their favorite heroes in a Marvel vs. DC showdown, and explore pricing and grading of comics. Registration is required for this program, which supports Basic Literacy as defined by the PA Forward Star Program. Please remember that children under eleven must be supervised by a responsible caregiver (at least 16 years old) at all times on Library premises.

Additionally, our Children's Makerspace will host Open Hours from Tuesday to Friday, 10 AM to 5 PM, and Saturday all day, offering themed activities without the need for registration. Each week features a different hands-on project, such as creating Wind Wands to learn about wind energy, coding Indi Robots to solve puzzles, building mechanical automata inspired by inventions, and participating in the Parachute Challenge to explore principles of gravity and material science. This program promotes Information Literacy as defined by the PA Forward Star Program.
