Details:
The General John Burrows Historical Society invites you to uncover a story as we open the historical toy box! Step back in time and explore the toys children once cherished—long before screens and batteries—when imagination and creativity turned simple materials into hours of fun. Each toy has a story to tell, offering a glimpse into daily life, creativity, and play in generations past.
After discovering the history behind these timeless treasures, participants will have the opportunity to create their own traditional toy—a whirligig—to take home. Join us for an afternoon of hands-on history and uncover the stories hidden!
