Join us for an exciting series of events in Seward, Nebraska's official Fourth of July City, featuring an Artist Talk with John Raimondi, the creator of "Erma’s Desire." John will discuss the I-80 BSP project and his other works located at the University of Nebraska at Kearney and Eppley Airport in Omaha. This talk will take place at four locations:
- Wednesday, July 1 at noon at the Museum of Nebraska Art in Kearney
- Wednesday, July 1 at 6 PM at the Stuhr Museum in Grand Island
- Thursday, July 2 at 6 PM at the Joslyn Art Museum in Omaha
- Saturday, July 4 at 10 AM at the Seward Civic Center East Fireplace Room
In addition, celebrate the USA250 during the “Faces of Rushmore” events on July 3 and 4, featuring actors portraying George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Teddy Roosevelt, and Abraham Lincoln at the Nebraska National Guard Museum. Highlights include:
- Friday, July 3:
- 10 AM: Presidents & Generals Leadership Forum
- 2 PM: Chautauqua-style presentations
- 7 PM: Concert at Seward High School auditorium, featuring the 43rd Army Band and live presentations by the Presidents of Rushmore.
- Saturday, July 4:
- 10 AM and 1 PM: “Meet the Presidents” sessions.
