The event "Preserving Personal Archives in the Digital Age" addresses the challenges individuals and families encounter in safeguarding photographs, recordings, and digital artifacts. Led by presenter Cal LaFountain, the program offers practical guidance and real-world examples from libraries and cultural archives, equipping attendees with actionable tips for managing their personal archives. Registration is optional and opens on May 21 at 9 a.m. online, by phone, or in person at the Information Desk, closing one hour before the event starts or when full. Seating begins 15 minutes prior to the event, and attendees are advised to stay home if feeling ill. The library staff may record the event for promotional purposes.
