Edneyville Library The Historical Fiction Book Club meets at the Edneyville Library on the third Friday of each month. Join us to discuss the book of the month. We will discuss The Marriage Portrait by Maggie O'Farrell. In 1550’s Florence, Lucrezia, daughter of the grand duke, is forced to marry the ruler of Ferrara after her older sister dies on the eve of their wedding. She is not universally welcomed and as she sits in constricting finery for a painting, she realizes that in the court’s eyes, her one real duty is to provide an heir.
