Virtual K-12 Educator Night | Sealaska Heritage Institute Resources for Youth Engagement & Literacy

During this FREE virtual webinar for K-12 Educators, representatives from Sealaska Heritage Institute will share educational resources designed to support student learning, literacy, storytelling, language revitalization, and youth engagement. Educators will discover ways that stories, culture, and community can enrich learning while gaining access to classroom-ready resources for schools, libraries, and family learning programs. Centering on Alaska Native communities and Baby Raven Reads, this award-winning program promotes early-literacy, language development, and school readiness for Alaska Native families with children up to age 5.
The evening will also feature an overview of youth and family resources available through the Heard Museum’s Billie Jane Baguley Library and Archives, including the Summer Reads Program and Kids’ Artist Files, which highlight Alaska Native artists represented in the museum’s collections and archives.
