The Next Chapter will host its upcoming cooking event on Thursday, June 04 at 10:15 AM. Participants will see how to make Yakitori Chicken , a popular Japanese dish of skewered chicken and seasoned with either salt (shio) or a sweet-salty soy glaze (tare) . Food to make the Yakitori Chicken will be provided by the Friends of Freeman Library . This free event requires sign-up. Registration opens Thursday, May 21 at 12 PM and closes Monday, June 01 at 8 PM . Please contact the Adult Services/Reference Desk at the library or visit our website to register. Adults must go with any child under age 12. You are allowed 3 no shows/no cancellations before you are no longer allowed a spot on our registrations for certain events. Please call to cancel if you are not going to be there. The Next Chapter is an in-person event for adults of all ages where we offer informative and entertaining presentations by staff, the Friends of Freeman Library , and local partners. All Next Chapter events are free to attend and open to the public. Any refreshments served at our events are provided by the Friends of Freeman Library.
