Ralph Moore is a tenor saxophonist born in London, England, who has been an active presence in the international jazz scene since the late 1970s. After studying at Berklee College of Music and moving to New York, Moore performed and recorded with artists including Horace Silver, Roy Haynes, Dizzy Gillespie, Freddie Hubbard, Cedar Walton, and the Tonight Show Band led by Kevin Eubanks.
Known for his strong tone, melodic improvisation, and deep connection to the hard bop tradition, Moore has released numerous recordings as a bandleader and collaborator. His playing combines technical precision with a direct and expressive approach shaped by decades of performance experience.
This quartet performance features straight ahead jazz and contemporary improvisation performed by one of the leading tenor saxophonists of his generation.
