What: Five-week stop-motion animation workshop Who: Teens (12 – 18) When: Monday, June 1 – Friday July 3, 2026 Time: Monday – Friday • 9 AM – 4 PM Where: ARTSPACE at Untitled 1 NE 3rd St, Oklahoma City Description: Adapt a story – draft scripts & storyboards Build the world – design sets, sculpt puppets, rig props Animate & shoot – capture a complete short film frame-by-frame Edit & polish – add sound, titles, and final touches Go public – submit to student film festivals, create promo materials, and host a premiere screening of your film Why join? Hands-on mentorship: lead instructor Nicole Emmons (professional animator & filmmaker) guides you through the entire pipeline + visiting animator guest speakers Career-level experience: five full weeks of production mirrors a real studio schedule Festival exposure: finish with a festival-ready short, promo kit, and red-carpet screening Who we’re looking for Passionate teen animators, storytellers, puppet-makers, set designers, filmmakers—anyone who loves bringing ideas to life in motion. Commitment is key: this is an intensive, collaborative project.
