Details:
Experience the beauty and history of Descanso Gardens through "LA’s Garden," a curated exhibition by Rosten Woo, running from July 18 to November 29, 2026, open daily from 10am to 4pm. This exhibition unveils the hidden stories intertwined with the gardens' 150 acres, showcasing how the stewardship of indigenous communities, Japanese-American nurserymen, and passionate volunteers have shaped the landscape we see today. Visitors can explore archival maps, documents, and photographs alongside contemporary artistic interpretations, illustrating the connection between plants and human resilience. Entry to the Boddy House, where the exhibition takes place, is included with admission or membership. Special programs include an opening reception on July 17 and curator-led tours on July 18.
Additionally, unwind with Drop-in Yoga sessions on the Main Lawn, suitable for all levels, led by Monica. These rejuvenating classes, rooted in Hatha and Anusara yoga, emphasize breathwork and community while encouraging attendees to bring yoga mats. Free with admission and no registration required, these sessions aim to foster an inclusive environment for relaxation and personal growth. Both programs are generously supported by the Perenchio Foundation.
