Details:
Step beyond the galleries and into the museum’s Collections & Research department, where millions of years of natural history are carefully preserved, studied, and brought to life. Hosted by Robbie Mueller, Director of Interpretation and Exhibits Management, these small-group tours offer rare access to an area of the museum normally closed to the public. You’ll discover how shells, fossils, birds, and other remarkable objects help scientists track environmental change, uncover new discoveries, and answer questions about our world. It’s an insider experience revealing the hidden heart of the museum and just how fascinating, beautiful, and unexpectedly cool natural history collections can be.
Pre-registration requested; walk-ins accepted if space allows. Program is recommended for ages 8+. Children ages 6 and up only please!
$10 for DelMNS members/$30.50 for non-members (includes general admission to the museum for the entire day!).
