Join us for the annual Battle of Huck's Defeat, commemorating the 250th anniversary of the American Revolution, on July 11 and 12, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Experience the sights and sounds of 246 years ago as you witness the pivotal role of the Carolina Piedmont in the Southern Campaign and the fight for freedom.
General admission is $15 for adults, seniors, and youth (ages 4-17), while CHM members and children aged 3 and under can attend for free. Enjoy ongoing activities including reenactor camps, 18th-century cooking, blacksmithing, games, and demonstrations such as “American Revolution: The Augmented Exhibition.”
Timed events include a church service, cavalry and artillery demonstrations, a keynote presentation by Lynn Heidelbaugh from the Smithsonian National Postal Museum, battlefield and preservation tours, children's militia drills, and battle reenactments of the Battle of Eutaw Springs on July 11 and the Battle of Huck’s Defeat on July 12.
