Jellyfish Season is a Florida-made independent feature film shot on location throughout Tampa and St. Petersburg on Kodak 16mm film. This story was developed by filmmaker Dylan Melcher and longtime collaborators Kristopher Atkinson, Matthew Walker, and Zachery Howard, resulting in a raw, funny, and heartfelt film that lives somewhere between a surreal beach comedy and a buddy film.
This evening celebrates the release of the original motion picture soundtrack on vinyl, composed by Chance Reynolds. The music became an essential part of the film's identity, helping shape its emotional landscape and giving voice to the strange, beautiful world the characters inhabit. The soundtrack was created to stand on its own as a complete listening experience, making a vinyl release a natural extension of the film itself.
