Details:
Join us for an engaging family experience at the Taylor Swift Education Center, featuring two exciting programs: the Musical Instrument Petting Zoo and the captivating performance of "String City: Nashville’s Tradition of Music and Puppetry." At the Musical Instrument Petting Zoo, guests of all ages can explore various instruments such as fiddles, banjos, and ukuleles with guidance from instructors; this hands-on experience is included with museum admission and free for members. "String City" showcases Nashville's rich musical heritage through marionettes, rod puppetry, and shadow animation, telling the story of country music and its evolution into Music City with nearly one hundred puppets, including iconic figures like the Staple Singers, Johnny Cash, and Taylor Swift. Co-produced by the Nashville Public Library and the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum, all performances include an in-person sign language interpreter and live captioning, and attendance is free with no purchase necessary. Tennessee children ages 18 and under from select counties can enjoy free admission, with discounts available for accompanying adults. This event is a wonderful opportunity for families to connect with Nashville’s musical roots together. For more information, visit the museum's website or inquire at the Box Office.
