Details:
Join us for the engaging family program "String City: Nashville’s Tradition of Music and Puppetry" at the Taylor Swift Education Center, where Nashville's rich musical heritage comes alive through a captivating performance featuring marionettes, rod puppetry, and shadow animation. With nearly one hundred puppets portraying iconic figures such as the Staple Singers, Johnny Cash, and Taylor Swift, the show tells the true story of country music and Nashville’s evolution into Music City. This event is co-produced by the Nashville Public Library and the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum, ensuring inclusive experiences for all attendees with in-person sign language interpretation and live captioning provided. Attendance is free, with walk-up tickets available on the day of the program. Additionally, Tennessee children ages 18 and under from select counties can enjoy complimentary admission, while two accompanying adults receive a 25% discount. As part of the event, families can also participate in the Musical Instrument Petting Zoo, exploring various instruments with expert guidance. For more details, visit the museum's website or ask at the Box Office.
