The Rise Challenge

This is not your average endurance challenge.
The Rise Challenge, presented by Niagara, is 185 steps, 11 flights, and one hour to see how many times you can climb up and come back down.
It is simple. It is brutal. It is one of the most unique challenges at Coler Mountain Bike Preserve.
Since opening in 2022, The Rise has become one of the most used and loved features at Coler. Now, it becomes the course. No trail miles. No bike. No complicated route. Just you, the stairs, and 60 minutes to push yourself as far as you can go.
Every lap counts. One lap equals going up The Rise and back down. The goal is to complete as many laps as possible in one hour.
Compete for the title of King or Queen of The Rise in your category, test yourself against friends, or take on the new Team Relay division.
New this year: Team Relay
Grab a team of 2 or 3 people and see how many laps you can complete together in 60 minutes. Each team member must register individually.
Not ready for the full hour? The One Lap Club is built for first-timers, friends, family members, and anyone who wants to experience The Rise without committing to the full challenge.

Team Relay
Race Day Start Times:
Women’s categories start at 7:00 AM
Men’s categories start at 8:15 AM
Participants will run with their time block, but will only compete within their registered category.
Awards:
A King and Queen of The Rise will be crowned in each category.
All participants will receive a t-shirt and JUNK headband.
$50 per participant
Registration closes Friday, August 7, at 8:00 AM
No onsite registration will be available.
