Build strong drawing from the ground up. In this supportive, skill-building class, you’ll learn how to use line, light and shadow (value) and composition to create a clear, confident drawing. It doesn’t matter if you’re brand new to drawing and painting or returning to art after a long break. Practice with guidance. Try out gesture drawing and expressive mark-making. Then explore your artistic license while simplifying what you observe. Learn the rule of thirds and about the importance of a focal point. All levels welcome. Materials provided. Leave with a stronger understanding of fundamentals and a clear set of techniques to continue using at home.
