Drop-In Days
Various dates 2-4pm
Stop by the library anytime 2-4pm for a variety of science, math, art, engineering, and play activities. All activities are geared towards elementary-aged youth but the whole family is welcome. Younger children will need additional assistance and supervision. Childcare providers: In order to make sure we have enough supplies, please contact Youth Services staff in advance if you plan to bring your group.
Buttons & Break-Out Boxes—Monday, June 15 - Create your own design or use one provided to color and make your own pinback button. Solve clues to unlock a mystery box and earn a prize. Break-Out Boxes are split into 3 age groups: early elementary, elementary, and middle school. Adult assistance and collaboration are requested.
Cookie Excavation—Tues, June 23 -Think (and snack) like an archaeologist! We'll learn how archaeologists dig up fossils by mapping & carefully excavating the chocolate chips from a cookie!
Tiny Treasures—Tues, June 30 - Use magnifying glasses and microscopes to explore the tiny worlds around us. Create tiny paintings inspired by what you observe and from your own imagination.
