Details:
This program is intended for youth ages 6 to 10 years old. Can you imagine life 150 years ago? Without Wifi, without electric toasters, without even an indoor toilet? Participants will try their hand at homesteading and discover aspects of pioneer life from growing the crops to going to the bathroom. Students will get a chance to handle and use all of the artifacts. This program is designed to explore the differences between family life today and yesterday, and to let students discover what hard work it was to farm and keep house during the 1880s
Anoka County Library strives to ensure that all visitors are able to access library resources, services, and programs. Assistive technology and program accommodations are available at many library locations, as outlined on our library accessibility page. Please call the library branch hosting the program at least two weeks prior to an event if there are additional accommodations we can provide for you to fully participate.
This program is funded by MELSA.
