Make your own Declaration using the same traditional ink as the Founding Fathers!
Iron Gall Ink was used to write important documents like the Declaration of Independence for centuries. Join a ranger to learn how to make this traditional ink and use real quills to write your own Declaration!
Warning: we will be working with potentially strong pigments that can stain skin and clothes.
When: Saturday, July 4th from 10:00am-12:00pm
Where: Penn Farm Parking Lot
Bring: Water, and a snack if you need one.
Wear: Clothes that can potentially be stained. Dress for the weather!
Cost: Free with a $7 per person park entry fee or presentation of a Texas State Park Pass. Children 12 and under are free to enter the park
