Art Build: Come Make Masks, Signs, and Giant Parade & Protest Puppets

CALLING ALL ARTISTS AND ACTIVISTS All hands on deck! We are preparing to make a splash on July 11th in Easton, and beyond! Are you looking to get involved in making art that makes a difference? Come to Art Build at Book and Puppet! Bring your ideas and make a sign, performance mask/costume, or parade puppet that you can show off at the next festival or rally. You can also help make a gigantic collaborative parade puppet of Mother Earth and all her children. Your contribution is needed and valued! Let’s inspire the crowd and attract media attention with our creative activism. Materials are provided. We are asking for donations of fabric, notions, old bedsheets, broom handles, tissue paper, large cardboard, foam rubber, leftover house paint, vinyl tubing, bamboo, rattan or willow wands, brushes, and any other items that might be used for fabrication. Art Build is led by puppet maker and performer Gaia Abraxas , founder of Yippee Skippy Puppet Theater. This event series is sponsored by Omphala Foundation.
