Details:
How do artists use personal history, cultural symbolism, and found imagery to explore identity? This focused gallery talk takes a close look at two powerful works that do exactly that.
Our Director of Learning & Engagement will guide visitors through Romare Bearden's Lady and the Egret and Betye Saar's assemblage Cryptic Confessions, The Question — examining how both artists draw on storytelling and memory to reflect on who we are and where we come from. These 30-minute staff-led talks are designed to deepen your connection with the art and offer new ways of seeing.
