Details:
Did you know that ants are keystone species in our forests and work closely with spring ephemerals? If you want to know more about this fascinating partnership, join Outdoor Educator Landere Naisbitt and Youth Services Librarian Claire Malina for a program on Ants and Plants! We will meet at the Blue Hill Public Library, Wednesday June 24 at 3:30pm, outdoors on the lawn to study spring ephemerals, investigate ant behavior, play a capture the seed game, and try our hand at nature journaling.
This program is free, thanks to the Friends of the Library. All materials will be provided. This is geared towards kids ages 5-12, but all ages are welcome. For more information, contact Claire at claire.malina@bhpl.net or call 374-5515.
