Details:
The Friends of the Bismarck Public Library are hosting a bookmark contest. The "Create Your Own Bookmark" Design Contest coincides with our Summer Reading Program. This year's theme is "Unearth a Story," which invites you to explore the hidden treasures underground. Your design should feature elements found below the earth’s surface -- think fossils, rocks, roots, gems, crystals, soil layers, tunnels, or anything else that lies beneath our feet.
We encourage imaginative interpretations, whether realistic, scientific, or whimsical. For instance, you might illustrate ancient fossils frozen in time or intricate root systems spreading through the soil. For entries to be considered, participants should submit designs that fall within the theme's framework.
Pick up entry forms at the library, and submit your completed forms to the Children's Information Desk by Sunday, July 5. The contest has five age categories from whichtop designs will be chosen. Selected designs will be made into full-color bookmarks, printed locally, and distributed at Librarypalooza on July 27.
