Approved June Rifle Silhouette Match

This rifle match is open to all shooters, and new shooters are welcomed. Each match is 40 shots for record, 10 shots at all 4 animals from the Standing position (offhand, no sling, no additional support). Caliber is .22 Long Rifle and centerfire rifle (6mm or larger - no magnums or steel core bullets). The match is fired at the outdoor range. Participants can sight in their rifle up to 60 minutes prior to the match.

There are 4 rifle categories for this event – 2 smallbore & 2 centerfire rifles. Check the NRA rule book for specifics on the rules.

Smallbore Silhouette - Course of fire: 10 rounds will be fired offhand at each animal: Chickens at 40 meters, pigs at 60 meters, Turkeys at 77 meters and Rams at 100 meters.

High Power Silhouette – Course of fire: 10 rounds will be fired offhand at each animal: Chickens at 200 meters, Pigs at 300 meters, Turkeys at 385 meters and Rams at 500 meters.

Note to Club Membership: The main firing line under the canopy will be closed during this event. The event will conclude at approximately 5:00pm each day. The range will be open for regular membership use after activities for the day are completed. The Action Shooting Area will also be closed on Sunday since competitors move downrange to set targets (beyond 200 yards).

Saturday smallbore 12pm - 5:00pm Sunday high power 8:00am – 5:00pm
