Details:
Children can improve their reading skills and boost their confidence by reading to gentle and patient, certified therapy dogs who love books! Kids will have a 10-15-minute session with a dog to read out loud the book of their choice (if you don't have a book, a librarian will suggest one) . The main purpose is to provide a relaxed, friendly, and non-judgmental atmosphere, so a child can read aloud to practice their reading skills. Reading out loud may enhance comprehension of ideas, strengthen fluency, and improve working memory. Dogs understand every language! They are great listeners and will not correct mistakes, which helps foster trust and self-confidence. Free with limited capacity. No registration required. Tickets will be distributed at the Information Desk 30 minutes before the event on a first-come, first-served basis. The number of tickets is limited. ADA Accommodation Requests
