Summer Film Lecture Series: Close Encounters of the Third Kind

Join Doug and Siobhan for the Summer Film Lecture Series at the Salem Family Auditorium, running select Wednesdays at 1 PM from June to August. Enjoy a lineup of classic films, each followed by a brief lecture from either Doug or Siobhan. This year’s series includes "Close Encounters of the Third Kind" on June 24, 1977, a sci-fi adventure where Roy Neary witnesses a UFO and is determined to uncover the truth about extraterrestrial life. The series is free and open to the public, with registration recommended. Other films in the series include "To Kill a Mockingbird," "Stand By Me," "The Game," "Best in Show," and "The Big Short."
